Try It! Pottery Wheels
What We’ll Do
You’ll spend 1 hour at the wheel learning the basics of throwing with instruction from our staff + some solo wheel time.
We’ll show you how to center, pull, and shape clay—don’t worry, it’s all beginner-friendly.
Because this is a try-it session, pieces aren’t guaranteed to make it off the wheel.
If you create something you’d like to keep, we’ll trim, dry, and bisque fire it for you; see firing fees below.
Should you choose to keep your work(s), you’ll return for a second visit to glaze your piece before it gets its final firing.

Helpful Tips
Dress down: Clay washes out, but it’s messy fun! Aprons provided while supplies last.
Nails & Jewelry: Trimmed nails and no rings/bracelets make wheel work much easier.
Hair: Hair must be secured up and away from your neck - you don't want it getting caught in the turn of the wheel!
Age Recommendation: Best for ages 12+ due to wheel height and technique but we’ll take makers as young as 7.
Arrival: Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to get settled in.
Guests: Due to space limitations, try it sessions are limited to participants only; guests are welcome to grab a project of their own from our paint your own pottery, mosaic, or clay experience options!
